ILamuna endurance series

Escape the ordinary and embrace extraordinary

Its not Motorsport its Motorspirit

The iLamuna Series is the pinnacle of safe fun and affordable endurance racing in Africa, combining thrilling competition with a unique and inclusive spirit. It is the largest race in the southern hemisphere by entries . Our races challenge both seasoned drivers and newcomers, pushing them to their limits over gruelling 9-hour and 24-hour events.

This is all about affordable, fun, safe racing with a strong emphasis on gentleman’s etiquette and camaraderie between all entrants.

How iLamuna Works

iLamuna endurance racing is built to keep things affordable, fair, and properly fun — without turning it into chaos.

Teams of 3–4 drivers, backed by a pit crew, take on 9-hour and 24-hour endurance races in genuine lemons. These are road cars, write-offs, barn finds, and questionable ideas brought back to life and prepared to race within a clearly defined value cap.

Every car is fully scrutineered by WOMZA officials, with mandatory safety equipment and strict compliance checks. Budgets are assessed on the real value of the car, not just what you claim to have paid for it , because loopholes ruin the fun.

Clear class structures, bonus and penalty laps, and enforced lap-time bars keep the racing close and competitive, without rewarding big spending or outright pace. This is endurance racing where preparation, consistency, and teamwork matter more than lap records.

The events are fully sanctioned, professionally run, and demanding by design. Long hours, changing conditions, tired drivers, and pressure in the pits ,  exactly how endurance racing should be.

The Classes

OG Class

For the truly budget-conscious lemons. Proper junk. Real character. Maximum heart.

SL Class (Suspect Lemons)

For the “we might have stretched it a bit” cars. Over the budget, under suspicion, still very welcome.

At its core, iLamuna isn’t about winning at all costs.
It’s about surviving together, laughing at the bad decisions, and crossing the line as a team.
